About
Qingjun Chang is currently a Ph.D. student at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Switzerland, supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). He is working on the project Barycentric Interpolation under the guidance of Prof. Kai Hormann. His research focuses on exploring the theoretical foundations of barycentric interpolation in one and more variables, providing a deeper understanding of the underlying principles.
Qingjun received his B.S. degree in Information and Computing Science from Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University (ZJUNIT) in 2017. During his undergraduate studies, he had the privilege of working under the guidance of Prof. Zhenyu Shu, exploring topics such as Digital Geometry Processing and Machine Learning.
In 2020, he completed his M.S. degree in Mathematics at Hangzhou Dianzi University (HDU) under the supervision of Prof. Chongyang Deng. His research focused on Computer Aided Geometric Design and Computer Graphics, with a particular interest in Generalized Barycentric Coordinates (GBC).
Prior to pursuing his Ph.D., Qingjun visited the USI in Switzerland in 2019, where he worked with Prof. Hormann. This experience broadened his knowledge and allowed him to expand his skillset in the field of geometry processing.
In addition to his academic research, Qingjun worked at the Southeast Digital Economic Development Institute (SDEDI) in the 3D Digital Space R&D Center from April to September 2020. His work there involved research on 3D Building Change Detection and 3D Scene Data Compression.
